It’s not particularly difficult to build and code cool tools once you know to use an Arduino microcontroller and the Grove Sensor Kit. I worked with a group of fourth graders at Murray Elementary School during their Genius Hour block for approximately five weeks. The students created a number of unique inventions and, as a result, gained a basic knowledge of the ubiquitous Arduino platform.
