Engineering in Art

Co-designed with a gifted resource teacher, “Artful Engineering” focused on the mathematical intersection of sculpture and art. Participating elementary students folded cardstock models, explored visualizations, and constructed intricate puzzles with 3D printers and digital fabricators.

All of the students demonstrated statistically significant learning gains in spatial visualization ability by the end of the unit.
